• 5+ years working in emergency response, law enforcement, corporate security, or a related industry
• Demonstrated ability to engage and connect with adult learners in an instruction environment
• Strong presentation, interpersonal and verbal/written communication abilities
• Passion for sharing real-world knowledge and skills with peers
• Willingness to incorporate innovative technologies and teaching approaches
• Successful completion of the California POST Advanced Instructor Development Institute course or higher
